What is hazardous activities cover?

During the term of your single trip or annual multi trip policy we will cover you for up to a maximum of 15 days
A medical excess of £100 applies to each individual activity; and No cover is provided under either the personal accident or personal liability section of the policy, whilst you are undertaking any of the individual activities listed below.

  1. American football
  2. Assault course
  3. Battle re-enactment
  4. BMX riding
  5. Breathing observation bubble diving (maximum depth 30 metres)
  6. Canyoning
  7. Canyon swinging
  8. Cascading
  9. Coasteering
  10. Fencing
  11. Flying (Europe only, piloting private or small aircraft or helicopter)
  12. Glacier walking or trekking (over 2000m but under 5000m, Winter sports cover also required)
  13. Gliding
  14. Gorge swinging
  15. Gorge walking
  16. Gymnastics (non-competitive)
  17. Hang-gliding (Europe only)
  18. Heli-skiing (Winter sports cover also required)
  19. High diving
  20. Hiking (on recognised routes between 3000 metres and 5,000 metres).
  21. Horse jumping (not polo or hunting)
  22. Hydro speeding
  23. Kite surfing (over land)
  24. Luge (dry or concrete)
  25. Manual work (not in connection with your business, trade or profession and at ground level only, no machinery)
  26. Martial arts (training only)
  27. Micro lighting (Europe only)
  28. Motorcycling over 125cc (not racing, not off-road riding, must hold equivalent UK licence)
  29. Mountain biking (including downhill racing and off-road riding)
  30. Mountain boarding
  31. Ostrich riding or racing
  32. Parachuting (Europe only, not BASE jumping)
  33. Paragliding
  34. Parapenting
  35. Parasailing (over land or snow)
  36. Parascending (over land or snow)
  37. Quad biking
  38. Rock climbing (not mountaineering)
  39. Roller derby
  40. Rugby
  41. Sand yachting
  42. Scuba diving (qualified, maximum depth 50 metres - see Note 1 on page 51 of the policy wording)
  43. Scuba diving (unqualified, maximum depth 30 metres - see Note 1 on page 51 of the policy wording)
  44. Sea canoeing
  45. Sea kayaking
  46. Shark diving (inside cage)
  47. Sky diving (Europe only)
  48. Tall-ship crewing
  49. Trekking (between 3000 metres and 5,000 metres)
  50. Via ferrata
  51. White or black water rafting (grades 4 to 6)
  52. Yachting (racing or crew) outside territorial waters
  53. Zorbing
